Christmas Charity Concert @ Luther Centre, PJ

2 dazzling Christmas concerts to end the year with grace. Performing with the Phil is always a memorable experience to remember...
On Sun evening, we were all watching the Australian DVDs together, and it brought tears to our eyes watching the documentary put together...about my trip to Perth.

It is through the Phil that friendships are built, and many bonds strengthened...through the common love for music 8-)

Terry Fox Run 2011 @ Padang Merbok

It was a nice bright sunny Sunday. CJ, Mun and my whole group of Phil friends participated in the Run at Padang Merbok this year. It was such a fun idea... and the weather was just wonderful. The path was a mere 3.6km, and the trails were all shady...

I definitely had a good time... and after that, we headed for breakfast cum brunch at Dim Sum in DJ. :-D A nice Sunday!

Makan outing with family around Klang Valley

Sun, 6 Nov 2011: Public holiday in conjunction with Hari Raya Haji. We didn't go out of town, so the next best thing was to eat around town...
Decided to drive out early in the morning to Klang for delicious bak kut teh breakfast, followed by a short trip to the nearby market.
This BKT location was at Taman Eng Ann - I liked it because the soup was thick, and the food was good, actually :)

Lunch time - we drove to Batu Caves... supposedly to enjoy Sang Har Mee with porridge. Wow, the queue at the restaurant was just crazy... with bus load of people waiting to eat.
We decided to go over to the old shop then.. no Sang Har Mee, but famous for porridge as well and the in-house speciality mee goreng. Quite reasonable and nice.

Mon, 7 Nov 2011 - went camera shopping with my bf at Digital mall... and we stopped to have Korean food for lunch before going back another round of shopping and fun.

Heng Hee's Birthday celebration

A special year to celebrate... Heng Hee's birthday..
a day we both decided to celebrate together from lunch till night..

Started off with a group get-together lunch at My Elephant (Thai food) with our good friends.

That very afternoon, HH and I went for a drive to see his new house, and we had dinner with his family at a nice local Japanese restaurant at Bukit Tinggi, Klang.
It's just amazing to be served a variety of food...allowing the chef to decide what was best... as we were served in style dish by dish. Really nice. :)

My first time seeing and tasting a sushi cake! Interesting!!! 8-)

Happy Birthday Mr Choo! LOL

Perth-Bunbury trip with the Phil (39 Aug - 5 Sept 2011)

It's been the most amazing time.. I simply can't write so much detail on this little page on the places we've been. Seeing is believing, and I am so glad to be able to chart my history page that I am proud to have travelled with the Phil to our very first international event - at the International Choral Festival in Perth :P

Mon, 29th Aug : Flight was around 11pm... all of us gathered at LCCT around 8pm, waiting to check in with Group Fare. After which, we enjoyed a relaxing light meal at Old Town Kopitiam, before randomly deciding to surprise the crowd with our Merdeka mood of songs...

Tues, 30th Aug : Arrived in Perth around 5.30am... and off we hoped onto the bus (around 6.30am+).. to the nearest McD for breakfast. Weather was cold..around 13 degrees, but I was lovin' it.. brought my shawl to keep me warm :)
Today was the day we got to visit around and relax before performances.
It was fun as we went to visit chocolate factory, nougat factory, vine yard..and another chocolate factory again. Lunch was at .... , a nice place.. where we spent around 2 hours relaxing, enjoying our meal... although it started to rain, we still had fun, I'd say!

Night time? I am glad I signed up to go for Wicked.. amazing experience.. dropped by the Casino & watching Wicked was interesting. Imagine the props.. so elaborate and nice. Watching a musical overseas is great - everyone's in that mood... dressing up for an event; that makes me more excited!

Wed, 31st Aug : Merdeka day! Early morning around 10am.. we were off on the bus to King's Park, where all dressed in black... we were there for the Malayan Borneo Commemoration ceremony - to sing Merdeka songs, and even the Australian National Anthem i.e. Advanced Australia Fair.
At night, we were off to Wesley College, to perform more Merdeka hits. It was unfortunate that I did not get to meet my friend, Jaipal..but glad that he enjoyed the performance.

Thurs, 1st Sept : How to Start a Choir workshop ! Only a handful of us went, but it was worth it for me... learning some simple games, and having fun. Thinking to maximise the experience of this trip, why not.. since it will not be easy for me to ever have such an opportunity ever again to attend such a festival as a participant, or delegate :P
